Goldabikia

Overview

Goldabikia is an Egyptian lithium-battery venture that gives used batteries a second life. Instead of letting old lithium cells end up as scrap, it collects and repurposes them into clean energy-storage units. This makes it as much a sustainability project as a business: it cuts battery waste while making storage more affordable. The founders brought the idea to Shark Tank Egypt in Season 4 to raise capital and grow.

The pitch

In Season 4, Episode 5, Goldabikia asked the sharks for EGP 3 million to grow its business of turning old batteries into energy storage. The founders presented it as an out-of-the-box sustainability idea, and the sharks were divided. After weighing the risks, the sharks pulled out and no deal was made.
