Good Steel Chute Systems

Overview

Good Steel is an Egyptian manufacturer of garbage-chute systems for residential buildings. Instead of carrying bags down the stairs or leaving them on landings, residents drop their waste into a chute that runs through the building, so it ends up in one collection point. The aim is a simpler, cleaner and more efficient way for apartment buildings to handle everyday household waste. The company brought this building-infrastructure product to Shark Tank Egypt in Season 4.

The pitch

Good Steel pitched its garbage-chute systems as an easy, efficient way for residential buildings to deal with waste. The sharks called the idea simple but clever. After a long discussion and a look at the risks, they all withdrew, so the company left without a deal.
