The pitch

In Season 5, Episode 4, Ahmed Kadah asked for EGP 15 million for 25%, which values Lolo at EGP 60 million. He said he started the app about three years ago after noticing that the videos his two daughters watched online were random and full of ads, and that he could not find enough safe content in Arabic. He put sales at EGP 4.5 million so far this year and EGP 3 million last year, quoted a 60% net margin, and said he expects to close 2026 at EGP 15 million once school contracts come in. Most content is in Modern Standard Arabic, about half the users are outside Egypt, and he wants the money for a production studio. The sharks liked the content, and Hala El-Kasem and Mohamed Farouk suggested content for children with ADHD, but Ayman Abbas called the valuation far too high. Ahmed Tarek Khalil initially offered EGP 3 million for 30%, with three years of studio support. The negotiation raised the cash investment to EGP 5 million, alongside EGP 10 million in studio and production support over three years, for 30%. The equity could fall to 25% if agreed performance targets are met. Ahmed confirmed after the pitch that he had secured a deal. The recorded investment amount is the EGP 5 million cash portion; the production support is additional.
